English Tea

With its first appearance in England during the mid 17th century, the arrival of tea was, in comparison to countries such as China, rather late. Regardless, England's cultural image is now defined by many with the concept of afternoon tea, although the existence of the English Breakfast tea variety displays to us that the English are avid drinkers of tea regardless of the time of day. The construction of tea houses in London spread the tea drinking culture throughout the country and helped build its reputation nationwide.
