Ethiopian Coffee
According to legend, the very first coffee trees were discovered in Ethiopia over a thousand years ago, where they were first consumed as red cherries. Many were astounded by their stimulating effect, and today, coffee still dominates as Ethiopia's most important export. Vast populations of wild coffee tree forests are used as the main source of harvesting coffee, and Ethiopia upholds its reputation as the original exporter of coffee. The Arabica beans are grown in the cool, sheltered environment of the highlands found in the Kaffa and Bruno districts, providing optimum conditions for their natural growth and development.
